If you read the previous post, you know that we are happy to create and sell you a holiday card to fit your personality. They are eye-catching, and they are easy. You only have to put them in the envelope and address them. However, as much as we love making them (AND selling them!), we don’t like receiving them. Even though they are popular, they lack the personal touch of a handwritten card. BUT with today’s busy schedule, who has time to hand-write two or three dozen cards?
So what’s OUR solution? Well, for the past few years, Rachel has had her son write a personalized sign to hold such as “Merry Christmas, Dad! Love, Jeremy,” for some immediate family, and then for everyone else, just one sign will do, without the personalization — “Merry Christmas! Love, Jeremy.” Then these are printed out as 4″x6″, and glued onto the front of a folded piece of cardstock. Then the inside of the card is hand-signed, and for immediate family includes a 5×7 enlargement of a pose without a sign.
Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE Photoshop! Honestly, I don’t think a single day has gone by in the past 8 or 9 years that I have not turned on my computer and done something in Photoshop, (so please don’t stop allowing us to make YOUR cards) but this is just a different kind of creative alternative to what’s popular now.

Ho Ho Ho!

That's my boy!

A different version of a "photo card."
